Bangkok, the exotic capital of Thailand, is always a big experience, never dull, but many residents and tourists often find it hard to look past the traffic and polution. That’s a shame because there are really a lot of nice places to go in Bangkok on a date or a romantic getaway. Wether you’re just visiting or want to take your date somewhere nice, there’s something to be found for all price levels.

There’s something for everyone, but you have to know where to go.

Chao Praya River Cruise

The Chao Praya river is Bangkok’s main waterway. This huge river makes it way along famous spots such as Kao San road, China Town and separates the city of Bangkok from Thonburi. The Chao Praya river cruise is an all time favorite for visitors to Bangkok and for good reason. The river banks of Chao Praya are amazing to look at. You have temples arching their ’stupas’ towards the sky. There are modern 5-star hotels, including the famous Oriental Hotel, but also traditional houses right on the edge of the water. It’s a fantastic experience. For those on a low budget, it’s possible to just go on one of the river ferries, but it’s hardly romantic or secluded. That’s why the river cruise is the best choice. The cruise takes place on a big yacht, with restaurant, live music and entertainment, while you can relax and watch as you leisurely make your way up and
down the river.

Vertigo Sky Bar
