Personally, I think that Krabi province in southern Thailand has more to do than any other province in the country, except maybe Phuket – which is a tie. Phuket has the nightlife and Krabi has the peace of mind, the abundance of natural wilderness exploration locations, national parks, and laid back atmosphere. If you are considering moving to Thailand to live you should check out all parts of the country and decide which is the better place to retire to – or you can stay a couple years in the northeast, couple years in the north, couple in Bangkok, couple in the islands, couple in the south – and do it all again.
