Me and my girlfriend are travailing Thailand for 2 months in the summer.

We are planning to live a modest lifestyle staying in average hostile accommodation with maybe the odd trek or activity loaded in.

How much money do you think we will each need?

Retirement in Thailand

Does anyone have any suggestions for cheap places for a Canadian to make an early retirement to? I’m considering China (Shanghai), Thailand, Argentina and Uruguay. Any suggestions on ways to estimate my living expenses in different countries or other cheap places to live (stretch a fixed income as far as possible)? Which country would you recommend retiring to and why?
I’d want to have high-speed internet, air conditioning and my own living space (exclusive use of a kitchen and bathroom) at a minimum.
