One of Phil’s biggest problems in terms of expending energy is in the clinch. In stead of trying to go for a better position, look for a sweep or take down, or use knees, he constantly spams rabid short hooks to the body. He does little damage and just gasses himself out in the process. I’m glad to hear that he’s finally learning some legit muay thai. I’am very disappointed to hear that his other coaches have never told him to pace himself. That is horrible.
