I am gay and 40 and I am going to Thailand for a few months. I have never been to Thailand before?
… as we all know the gay scene in the west can be quite diecriminatory to men over 40.
Someone said to me that gay Thai men actually like guys over 40 and that it isn’t an ‘issue’ over there.
Is this true.
I am quite young for my age (40) but even so, many of us in the USA feel over-the-hill and overlooked by a USA gay scene that is very competitive and discriminatory.
I have just eneded a very long term relationship and hate to feel I may be on the shelf.
I have retired early and may even be able to retire to Thailand. Will I have a chance at new love in Thailand as a reasonably good looking 40+ year old?
I have read this ‘don’t fall in love with a Thai’ advice so many times! Are they that adorable? It’s obviously a problem that many westerners fall head over heels with Thai men and women! What is the reason for this?

Living in Thailand
THAILAND We are thinking of relocating to Thailand as a retired couple from the US. What is required?
Where is nearest Thailand legation/consulate to New Orleans?
Need a retirement visa before I leave in a week for Thailand. I wrote twice to Washington DC Legation, but no answer. I think I can get a 30 or 60 day visa when I land in Bangkok, but can I get a one year visa or retirement visa in Bangkok?
Cost of retirement in foriegn countries?
How much would it cost per month to live in places like Thailand,Indonesia,Cuba,Panama etc?
How can you get retirement when your employer does not offer it?
My husband has no retirement plan with his employer and are there companies out there retirement companies that offer plans for the individual. If so, then what are some good companies to have a retirement plan through.

advice on access to interest from money invested in uk. is it better to deposit in thailand?
if i were to live in thailand on a retirement visa….using the interest from savings in the u.k. …. and the money from letting a property in uk also, to fund myself……what is the best (cheapest) way to transfer this money into thailand?
would it simply be better to deposit my savings in a thai bank account, and get my interest that way? or use an online account?
also…….what is the most simple and inexpensive way of transferring the money from letting the property to thailand from uk?
are there any hidden complications when opening a thai bank account?
are there any taxation concerns in uk or thailand when transferring monies?
many thanks for any replies….greatly appreciated.
